Freddie O Freddie!

So, we’ve all come to terms with the fact that I’m just not a blogger, right? haha

I work very hard to give my clients a fun & memorable experience when we’re working together…& beyond that to provide them with beautiful images to forever capture some of life’s most precious & often fleeting seasons for them to look back on with love & joy in their hearts. Then, I move on to the next bit of delightful photos for someone else & generally don’t share much with everyone else (all y’all), it’s just something I’ve never really gotten into a good habit of doing. Part of me is sad that there are SO MANY gorgeous, funny, sweet images that y’all haven’t seen, but the other part of me is okay with that, since the people that the photos really matter to are getting to enjoy them as often as they like - that’s the most important thing to me.

ALL of that being said (& hopefully making a little bit of sense), I’m going to attempt to do a few posts (without much commentary) to get a few fresh images on here that I can pin to some of my boards to help clients gain some inspiration for their sessions & to showcase a little more of how I approach various sessions as well.

For now, I’ll just kick things off with a fun overview from all of the sessions I’ve done with Freddie (my baby) since his arrival over 15 months ago (how is that even possible?). I hope y’all enjoy!

I have  been wanting to share all of this sweetness with you for quite some time now!

I have had the amazing opportunity to capture so many beautiful families as they grow (some even before mom & dad say "I DO") - it truly is such an honor & such a joy!  So, I wanted to put a little post together from one of my First Year Packages to give everyone an idea of how important & awesome it is to document all of the beautiful growth that takes place in such a short amount of time!  (I'll try to post a couple more families soon too!)

I believe it really is so important to have precious images like these to cherish many many years from now - right?!  & not just for you, but for your kiddo's too!  Don't we all love looking back at photos of us & our parents from years ago?  It's always good to have something to look back on & remember the joy &  beauty in these fleeting moments!

Welcome Milo // St. Louis Newborn Photography

Happy Friday y'all!
I was about to share another one of my sweet fall engagement sessions, but realized that I needed a little something different, since it's just been weddings & engagements for the past few months.  So, I hope you enjoy this change of pace!  
Remember Kristi & Trevor's fun Maternity Session from the summer?  Well, I had to post a sweet little follow up from a session we did when Milo was about 4 weeks old - what a cutie!  Can't believe he's already 5 months old now! You can already tell he's got such a sweet, spunky, & loving spirit.  Can't wait to watch him grow!

Welcome Cecily & Adella // St. Charles Newborn + Lifestyle Photography

Happy Friday everyone!  

If you haven't noticed, I have been doing a lot of maternity & newborn sessions lately...& I'm loving it!  Newborn photography is not my specialty by any means, but being invited into someones home to capture a special season in their lives is right up my ally!  I've been learning a ton about working with new babes & feel more prepared every time I have to work with them...soooo glad I was able to get lots more practice in before I had double duty with these adorable little ladies!  ;)

I had the opportunity to capture Dustin & Amanda's wedding (five years ago this October!) & was thrilled when she told me they were expecting TWINS this summer!  EEEEK!!!  This couple is just so sweet, down to earth, honest, & fun - working with them has always been a pleasure & I have a feeling it's only going to get better as their beautiful girls grow.  

They welcomed their sweet little ladies, Adella Mae & Cecily Claire, into their world about 5 weeks early.  Since they had to spend some time in the hospital growing & getting stronger we waited a little while to do their newborn session...they were actually 1 month old when we did these & still so tiny!

You can tell them apart in these two photos...but I was definitely having a hard time keeping them straight during the session.  haha

Seriously?!

This was a beautiful broach that Amanda actually wore in her hair on their wedding day...she had the idea of putting it on the girls for a few photos.  I love how beautiful & special these images are! 

Amanda was full of great ideas...she wanted Dustin holding both of them...& then she said, "stack them".  haha We weren't sure how it was going to work, but it's one of my favorite images from their session!

I mean, how sweet is this?!

I love love love getting to celebrate more than just weddings for my clients...this was double the sweetness for sure!  Thanks for inviting me to share in so many special moments in your lives Dustin & Amanda - it has been such a pleasure working with you & I'm looking forward to many more fun moments with your growing family in the years to come!

Welcome Benjamin // St. Louis Newborn & Lifestyle Photogrpahy

I absolutely LOVE celebrating new little bundles of joy with their families!  It's something that I have done more of this year than in the past & I'm having so much fun! It's such a precious time in their lives & I love getting to capture it for them!

The sweetest sleeping babe you ever did see.

I just love love love this little family snuggle & daddy playing with his feet!  

I try so hard to keep my sessions as relaxed & natural as possible...sure there is some direction involved, but isn't it just that much better when everyone can settle in & feel like themselves in their own images?!  For instance, I helped them get into this pose, but they made it comfortably their own & I love every little detail!

Welcome Weston Lee // St. Charles Newborn Photography

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of capturing handsome little Weston along with his mom, dad, & adorable big brother & sister.  I love how sweet, relaxed, intimate, & fun this images are - I hope you enjoy them to!

This is Mollie & Cayson (aka: big sister & big brother) ... they were so cute & already so in love with their new little brother!

Mollie could not get enough of her little brother - she kept coming in the room just to give him a hug & a kiss while I was shooting some of the images with him & his momma...

...clearly, she is a lover.

Having the kids lay on the bed with Weston was completely natural - they gladly snuggled up with him when I suggested it.  :)  I'm so used to the older siblings still being a little too young to really understand the new baby thing - usually the length of time they can/will sit & hold the little one is about 2 seconds, then of course they push the baby off b/c they are ready to move onto something else.  haha  
All that to say, having these sweet older siblings kinda spoiled me.  

All of their faces in the photo below are perfect!  
Cayson & Mollie were starting to get a little wound up at this point, but Weston seemed to totally understand & chimed in with a big 'ol smile at just the right moment - pretty sure this is one of my favorite images!

Welcome Alden Patrick // St. Charles Newborn Photography

How precious is this little man? 

A few years ago one of my best friends told me that she & her husband were going to adopt a baby...which was such exciting news of course!  I know the process wasn't the easiest & the waiting must have been so hard for them, but they somehow made it look easy.  After a long season of preparations & great patience they got to meet the perfect little prince God had for them on January 27, 2014!  What a treasure!  He is so sweet, chill, & handsome!  I could hardly stand the wait to meet him & then of course capture them together as a family.  

Bob & Linda wanted to keep their "newborn session" simple & natural - the results make my heart so happy!  I love these beautiful images of them embracing & loving this precious gift that will forever change their world.

Are you loving these as much as I am?!  Such sweet perfection!

Thank you for allowing me to capture these moments for you Bob & Linda - I know you'll cherish them forever!  Can't wait to do more soon!  :)
